We sang this song during bhajans too.... then I realised it's a folk/pop/gospel song by The Seekers in the 1960s.

Singing a folk or pop song as devotional songs to God may sound kind of weird, but I guess what most important is the meaning of the song and to whom it will be sung to.
Hahahahahha....!!!
